Fable 5.5 Pricing and Cost Calculator

No Fable 5.5 rate has been verified in the official price list we reviewed. Use an existing model’s documented rates for reference, or enter your own assumptions without treating them as an official quote.

Custom assumptions

Fable 5.5 pricing has not been verified. Enter your own assumptions or use verified reference rates for an existing model. Neither is a Fable 5.5 quote.

Rates are in USD per 1 million tokens. Use 0 tokens for a side you do not need.

Reference rates are read-only. Choose custom assumptions to enter different prices.

Input
Whole number, 0–1,000,000,000
Up to 6 decimal places. May be blank when input tokens = 0.
Output
Whole number, 0–1,000,000,000
Up to 6 decimal places. May be blank when output tokens = 0.

Example values are illustrative assumptions, not model prices. Nothing you enter is sent or saved.

Formula and what is included

(input tokens × input rate + output tokens × output rate) ÷ 1,000,000

This estimates standard text token costs in USD. It excludes caching discounts, batch pricing, tool calls, image and audio billing, minimum charges, taxes, and provider fees.

Zero tokens cost zero even when that side’s rate is blank. A missing rate for a positive token count leaves the estimate unknown.

Fable 5.5 pricing status and reference rates

Anthropic’s base API price table lists Fable 5.1 at $10 for input and $50 for output, per million tokens. Opus 5.5 is listed at $4 for input and $20 for output, on the same unit basis.

These are reference rates for the named models. We do not assign either rate to Fable 5.5, and a missing Fable 5.5 price does not mean the model is free.

How to calculate input and output token costs

The calculator adds input tokens multiplied by the input rate and output tokens multiplied by the output rate, then divides each by one million. Keep the input and output counts separate: equal counts can have very different costs.

For an illustrative workload of one million input tokens and 200,000 output tokens, the documented base rates give $20 for Fable 5.1 or $8 for Opus 5.5. This is arithmetic for that workload, not a claim about how many tokens either model would actually use.

Planning for an unknown price

Choose a custom scenario when you want to explore a budget before rates are known. Enter both rates yourself. The result remains a hypothetical scenario even if you type a number that looks plausible.

Start with a budget ceiling and a workload you can describe, then try several rates. This shows how sensitive your budget is to price changes without pretending to predict a launch price. No Fable 5.5 rate is prefilled.

A base-token estimate is not a full bill

The official pricing guide treats prompt caching, batch processing, fast mode and inference geography separately. Partner billing can also differ. The calculator covers only standard input and output token charges, with no taxes or additional service charges.

A Claude subscription and API token pricing also answer different questions. Check the relevant plan’s included usage and credits before using a token estimate to decide what a subscription covers.
